In Somebody's Daughter, Jasmine Games invites readers on a soul-stirring odyssey through the intricate tapestry of Black womanhood. She weaves threads of childhood memories, societal expectations, and the profound journey towards self-acceptance, using poignant metaphors like “Double Dutch” and “Hydrangeas in Bloom” to illuminate the universal quest for personal growth, self-nurturing, and the beauty found within the complexities of identity.

Individuals who appreciate poetic storytelling, rich metaphors, and reflections on the human journey will find this book compelling and thought-provoking.
